6. Can LeavesOut handle heavy rain?Yes. It has been tested to handle over 12 inches an hour which is more than the heaviest rain ever recorded by the US Weather Bureau.
7. Is the shingle warranty voided when LeavesOut is installed?Companies that manufacture shingles confirm that the Leavesout installation does not void their warranty. LeavesOut is installed by slipping it between the starter shingle and top shingle. It is not attached to the roof. We guarantee we will never avoid the roof warranty with proper installation.
8. Why install a solid cover rather than a screen or perforated cover? Our experience since 1986 has proven that solid gutter covers require hardly any maintenance. The perforated covers or screens allow pollen, mildew, mold, and spring blossoms to clog the top, preventing proper water flow. With LeavesOut, the small pieces of debris that are carried into the gutter are simply flushed down the downspouts, thus our guarantee the downspouts will never clog.
